Plus-size Bikinis // ZAFUL Wishlist

Happy Sunday everyone ! Even though school will be starting soon, sales have ended and August is almost over… it’s still SUMMER ! Recently I went swimsuit shopping with some gorgeous, curvy friends and we were really disappointed in the lack of options for plus-size bikinis. For some reason, many retail stores don’t focus on trendy, flattering patterns for curvier women. But I have good news for you!

ZAFUL has trendy plus-size bikinis

…There’s still a lot on sale on Zaful.com !

…And I have a discount code for you!

Use my coupon code ZAFUL4768 to get $2 off $20, $3 off $30, $5 off $50, $8 off $80 and $10 off $100. It works until December 31st 2017, so even if you don’t find a bikini on sale, you can still get one with a discount!

Jeunes et inspirants #1 : Zahra Louise-Julie

by the Green Mousse

The Green Mousse

Bleu, Blanc, Rouge

Hey guys! Welcome to another What I Wore This Week post, where I feature an outfit I wore during the week, the occasion and how I styled it.

Last Saturday night, I got to hang out with my sister Safiya and my beautiful friends in the city of Lyon. Since Safiya just moved to France, I’ve been showing her the ropes of how to do the French Apéro, which is a fancy way of saying pre-drinking. Except, we do it the French and sophisticated way: we have a glass of wine (rosé or sweet white wine if it’s summer, and red wine when it’s winter) accompanied by a variety of cheese and dry sausage.

Image-1

Then we met with my talented friend Tatiana Vergnaud, who is also a photographer, and we had a cocktail each. After that, we met up with more friends at Ninkasi, a hot spot for delicious burgers and beer. After feeding ourselves, we finally got to the town center and had the most decadent pink milkshake cocktail at the L Bar. By pacing yourself on Saturday night, and making sure you’ve eaten, you won’t end up drunk by the end of the night, and even better, you won’t wake up with a hangover !

This is one of my favorite tops to wear: I got it on sale at Zara (bae for life) and it’s a wrap-tie shirt. I love the elegance of having a bow hanging from the side of this shirt, and I especially like the off-the-shoulder look. I chose this blue-striped one because I felt like the blue would make a great contrast with my skin (there was baby pink, sky blue, navy blue and white).

I’ve had these white lace shorts from Stradivarius for three years, and they still haven’t gone out of style. Stradivarius is one of my favorite stores, but they closed down in Lyon unfortunately. These shorts are perfect for when it’s too hot to wear denim. They’re casual enough to wear during the day, and lacy enough to wear in the evening. These Nike huarache sneakers are the perfect balance to an otherwise formal outfit.

I love wearing color these days, so I got out my red leather purse that a Tuareg friend from Niger gave me. Just look how it matches my Colourpop lipstick ! And I don’t know if you recognize these gold earrings I got from Zaful for less than $4, but they are the minimalist touch to any outfit you can think of.

And recognize these sunglasses from Rose Carbone ? I love to wear them on any occasion, and even though I wore them for about 30 minutes (the sun set soon after this photoshoot), I felt so glamourous. Can you tell ?

Summer with Zaful + Discount Coupon!

Hello, hello ! I hope you’re having an amazing summer. This is my favorite time of the year, because I can finally just relax and watch Netflix. Another fun part of summer time: SALES !!! I recently discovered this trendy online clothing store, ZAFUL and I’m in love. A lot of their clothes were on sale, but the original prices were already low.

I like to browse though various fashion websites because they usually have unique and cheaper clothes, but ZAFUL is by far my favorite of them all. The clothes actually fit me, the quality is great and the clothes are SO TRENDY. I chose four essentials that I’ll be wearing for different occasions this summer.

Under my Umbrella with Jamais le Mardi

Well.. I’m officially a certified middle and high school English teacher !  That’s what I had been working on this past year and I’m finally able to enjoy my summer vacation. One of my favorite magazines Jamais Le Mardi reached out to me for their bloggers’ edition and I am so proud to show you what we worked out !

So first of all… @cosmacome on Instagram drew a caricature of me for Jamais Le Mardi. What do you think?

23

Awesome right ?!

So for the collaboration, my favorite photographer Tatiana Vergnaud shot me in the rain, and the results were lovely. Check out the beautiful pictures and What I Wore for Jamais Le Mardi!

This is my absolute favorite jumpsuit to wear because it never goes out of style, it’s elegant, and it was customized! You can’t really see it under the jacket but this used to be a halter neck jumpsuit I got from H&M for NYE’ 16. The problem was that (believe it or not) the neckline was too low, and I just had to do something about it. So the halter neck was switched to two straps to give my chest more support. Also, I hope you like the popping colors of my New Look handbag and Zara heels.

08

It was raining, so I had my clear umbrella by La Chaise Longue and wore this faux leather jacket from Zara. Initially, I wanted a real leather jacket but I finally settled for this one instead. Leather jackets are great for long-term wear, but for ethical reasons, I just don’t see myself splurging in a real leather jacket made from the suffering of animals. And yes I eat meat, but protein is necessary, leather isn’t. And before we begin debating if meat is necessary, I was a vegetarian for a long time but for health reasons I wasn’t able to continue a meatless diet. So anyway! I found this gorgeous piece of faux leather at Zara and it’s comfortable and it doesn’t even look fake.

09

I said it once, and I’ll say it again: if you have nothing to wear, wear a jumpsuit because it’s an entire outfit in one. Then tie a belt at your waist for an effortlessly chic look.

Zahra Louise-Julie for OHEMAA

My friends Yannaty Kouyate & Murielle Nouatin created a new e-shop OHEMAA that sells African wax print clothes. OHEMAA‘s purpose is to promote fashion trends from different parts of Africa by selecting modern pieces by modern fashion designers. Ohemaa in Twi (language spoken in Ghana) means Queen. Yannaty & Murielle chose this name because it represents their e-shop’s ideology: simplicity, grace, elegance and the beauty of modern women in its entirety.
